My
passions lie particularly in community and media relations; public consultation;
issues management (particularly with regard to the environment); and media and communications
training.
Dedicated resource
I have a straightforward way of working – what you see is what you get and I thrive
on being seen as part of a client team! I deliver communications advice and consultancy
in a constructive, yet challenging manner. And, as a freelancer, clients have a
dedicated resource in me, right from devising a communications programme through
to its delivery.
Consumer and B2B
My consumer experience focuses on consultation and communication with people living
around my clients’ operating sites. My business to business work focuses on helping
clients communicate in a robust way to their customers and stakeholders, particularly
when potentially controversial environmental initiatives are at stake.
Media training
Media training has become one of my core areas of specialism. Working with a range
of journalists and expert technical crew, my training is practical and focused on
realistic up-to-date client scenarios. By the end of each session my aim is to have
built confidence and enable clients (from chief executive to shopfloor level) to
view the media as an opportunity for their organisation, not necessarily a threat.
